ONE OK ROCK 『We are ~18 Fes ver.~』 with English/Japanese subtitles
[Update 04/12/2019] Unfortunately, the YouTube video was blocked for viewers outside of Japan. We've re-posted it on our Veoh channel for our fans to enjoy.
This NHK program aired in Japan on January 9th, 2017. Although it has a duration of just over an hour, we decided to provide an English translation of the tail end of the program. Young adults between the ages of 17 to 19 were invited to submit videos of themselves, depicting their talents and/or personal accounts. After careful review, NHK and the members of ONE OK ROCK selected a thousand of these individuals to take part in the program. Watching those videos gave the members of OOR the inspiration and ideas to compose the song, “We Are”. Following the selection process, these young men and women prepared themselves by practicing for nearly an entire month. Their performance was actually recorded on November 13th, 2016, well in advance of the January 11th, 2017, Japanese release of the album Ambitions. We, at Karyuudo Fansubs felt that Taka’s inspiring spoken message, along with that contained in the song’s lyrics, just had to be shared with the rest of the world. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Hi guys, It's unfortunate that you had to take down this video due to copyright. I was wondering if I could get the transcript because I want to use the speech for our upcoming college graduation in April. My plan is to somewhat reenact this performance. I am looking forward to your reply. More power to you!
Hi there, we didn't remove it intentionally. Unfortunately, Amuse made a copyright claim on the live portion of the song blocking it from viewers outside of Japan. We've re-posted it on Dailymotion so that fans outside of Japan can hear Taka's message and enjoy this small concert.
